ABOUT ARNIE

With more than 20 years under his belt, Arnie Little brings both his passion and his expertise to the shooting range, helping you believe & achieve!

Arnie started shooting sporting clays in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1995 after being pressured to join his colleagues for a practice round. After a few attempts he was hooked! He joined the NSCA and shot competitively for a couple of years and eventually advanced to AA class where he currently competes. He took the NSCA level I instructor class to learn what he needed to do to keep improving. The formal training helped and he went on to complete the NSCA Level II instructor course. He will tell you that one of his biggest mistakes was not finding and working with a good instructor early on before developing many bad habits.

Five stand is his favorite competitive event, having won the Oklahoma State Championship in both A & AA and the Browning Briley in AA. He also shot a perfect score at the 2013 Conoco/Phillips Wounded Warriors event.

He has coached at several shooting centers in Texas and Oklahoma. His home club is Silverleaf Shotgun Sports near Guthrie, OK. Arnie is the only active NSCA Certified Level II Instructor in the state of Oklahoma.

“Arnie Little introduced me to sporting clays in the mid 1990’s. Since that time I have had the pleasure of shooting with Arnie on numerous occasions, and have found that he has great insight at critiquing my shooting mechanics. He not only points out my problems and bad habits, but also helps me in finding solutions. Through Arnie’s coaching when shooting together I have seen my scores increase by several targets."

"I'm a beginning shooter. I had shot Trap and Skeet a couple of times last year but started shooting Sporting Clays this year. Before going to Arnie I was shooting 40's and 50's. After taking one 3 hour lesson with Arnie I am now shooting in the 70's and 80's.

Thanks Arnie, I could not have done it without you."

What some former shooting students have said:

“Arnie provided a great refresher course for a group of ladies preparing for a charity shoot. He was very patient, knowledgeable and gave us individual guidance according to our skill levels.

I grew up shooting skeet with my dad and it had been years since I had shot competitively. It didn’t take long for Arnie to get me back up to speed and ready to shoot.

What impressed me was how he evaluated each of our needs by looking at the various gun types, our height, arm lengths, stance etc. and was able to get us on target quickly.”

After a 20 year layoff to raise my family, I decided to take up shooting again. It didn't go very well until a friend introduced me to Arnie Little. I talked with Arnie and decided to take a lesson from him and am so glad I did! My scores instantly improved and keeping his advice in mind, my scores are getting better all the time. He is a great coach and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their clay shooting skills."

“I highly recommend taking a lesson with Arnie. Whether you are a first time shooter, or just in need of a tune up, he can help you out. He corrected some things that I had been doing for years, and had me breaking clays like never before. The lesson was fun, and his personality makes it feel like you are shooting with a long time friend."
